Porto, Portugal – Day 4

Nice trolley rides today. Interesting graffiti. Getting comfortable with the bus and metro system. Our hosts invited us down for appetizers and drinks tonight – laughing and talking till 1:30 in the morning. Not used to drinking that much…. We are the first Americans they have hosted. Said we remind them more of Greeks than Americans ???

Roman Aquaduct & Segovia, Spain

Per Valerie’s suggestion, we went to Segovia to see an ancient Roman aqueduct. Very impressive. Birds can be seen in many pictures – they never landed, just swooped around. After taking too many pictures of arches, we attempted to drive to the center of the old town to see the cathedral. GPS was not helpful, as it directed us the wrong way down one way streets, or down pedestrian-only streets. Some streets were so narrow that grooves were cut into rock walls to allow the side mirrors of cars to fit!
